If you are covered for acupuncture, you may be responsible for a deductible, co-insurance and/or co-pay.
What if my insurance plan covers acupuncture, but you are out-of-network?
If you are covered for acupuncture under your health plan, but I am out-of-network, then you may request a superbill after your acupuncture treatment.
A superbill is a record of your treatment that you can submit directly to your insurance company for reimbursement. Because the reimbursement is paid directly to you by your insurance company, you will be responsible for the full payment at the time of service.
